Diseases spread by rats:-
– Rats spread various diseases to human, including plague, typhoid, worms, virus, and bacteria.

Conditions that promote the breeding of rats:-
– Rats make their nest and breed at places where food is available, and also at hidden places such as food premises, food store, trash dumping sites, drains, and fithy kitchens.

Measures to control rats:-
– Do not provide opportunities for rats to approach our food or to find a shelter.
– Food will need to be kept in places safe from the threat of rats such as in a container or in a shelve.
– Keep our surroundings clean.
– Eliminate all the hiding places of rats. Keep our things neat and clean.
– Install appropriate wire barriers at all the outlet holes.
– Trap the rats with snares.
